This program will address common and often-occurring patient safety events that lead to patient harm. Information on medical errors and the importance of a culture of safety are addressed. Patient care errors typically result from more than one contributing factor: Human and processes. This program will cover the diverse types of harm and common error-prone situations. The program will cover five patient care cases and include patient safety and risk management suggestions and CMS conditions of participation.
