Many nurses step into the chief nursing officer (CNO) role with limited formal leadership preparation—especially in critical access and rural hospitals. This intensive two-day workshop equips current and emerging nurse executives to lead with confidence, clarity and impact. Participants will learn to build high-performing teams, navigate workforce challenges, steward resources, engage in strategic planning, translate strategy into action and manage conflict constructively. Designed for current CNOs and nurse executives in rural and critical access settings, as well as emerging leaders identified through succession planning, this program provides practical, immediately applicable tools to strengthen nursing leadership and organizational performance.
